The inherent problem in trying to be creative is that it requires a frame of mind. I'm told by others they write best when they're angry or sad. That there emotions help compel them to make art as an expression of those feelings.

I am not the way, I feel I need to be centered. Maybe a little bit of a good mood over a bad one, but I need to be more calm than anything. It annoys me that it is such a fragile thing to hold on to and so long to get it back. I have not been creative today. It's 2am, so maybe I should say I wasn't creative yesterday. I want to be. I have two specific things in mind: one to write, one to draw. But circumstances allowed a friend to showcase one of their more annoying behaviors, one where the lesson is known, but never learned, and it makes me angry with no outlet. I simply cannot channel anger into my work as others do. Though it might be convenient from time to time.

Of course, the key lesson of being creative is to force yourself to do it, and maybe that is what I should be focusing on right now.
